Teens function on a much more emotional level than an intellectual level, especially in times of stress. So instead of focusing on teen drivers, we chose to focus on one of the most important equities for teens – their friends. When friends in the car speak up, drivers are inclined to listen rather than risk a friendship.
The fully-integrated campaign was strongly embraced by law enforcement officials and educators across the country. The Ad Council also used the work as a case study for other agencies as to how future Ad Council marketing campaigns should be executed.
