Mudhouse strategy
Many of Mudhouse’s competitors featured┬áspecialty coffees that used milk, sugar and/or syrups to cover the true flavor of their over-roasted or poor quality coffee beans. Mudhouse founders believed that to be truly great, a coffee must be rich and flavorful in its most basic state – black.
This belief was at the heart of our “Brilliant Black” brand positioning. We designed identity, packaging, print advertising, and social media that elevated the local brand to a national competitor and gave consumers a reason to believe that Mudhouse Coffee Roaster coffee was worth every penny.
